Irish pub plans for first St. Patrick’s Day celebration

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – As a day full of events was planned to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Indianapolis, one business prepared for the occasion with notably high hopes.

Indiana family-run establishment, Nine Irish Brothers organized a lineup of entertainment for its first St. Patrick’s Day open in the city.

The Irish pub opened in June 2014 at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and East Street. Two other locations have operated in the greater Lafayette area.

Workers said the Saturday before the holiday was the most successful day the newest addition to the chain has enjoyed since opening.
