No one hurt in apartments fire in Fishers

FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) — No one was hurt in a Fishers apartment fire that damaged eight or 10 apartments, the fire department said.

The fire was reported just before 3 p.m. Tuesday near Lantern Road and Regency Drive in the Sunblest Apartment Homes complex.

Shortly before 5 p.m., the department said in a news release that firefighters have the blaze under control. Eight units received damage from fire or water, although a firefighter at the scene said the building had 10 apartments.

Some roads in the area were temporarily closed as fire crews battled the blaze.

Two pets were rescued from the apartments.

The American Red Cross, the Delaware Township Trustee’s Office and the apartment staff were helping displaced residents.
