Silver Alert canceled for man, woman missing from Avon

UPDATE: State police canceled the Silver Alert for a missing Avon couple Saturday morning. No other details have been released.

AVON, Ind. (WISH) — A Silver Alert has been issued for a man and woman missing from Avon.

John Clayton Currin, 89, and Siri Benhar Currin, 82, were last seen at 11:30 a.m. Friday and are believed to be in extreme danger or to require medical assistance.

John is described as 6-feet-2 and 175 pounds with black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black Air Force Veteran hat, tan windbreaker and brown pants and was driving a beige 2005 four-door Chevy Silverado with Indiana license plate TK886LNK.

Siri is described as 5-feet-6 and 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing an off-white jacket.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to contact the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office at 317-839-8700 or dial 911.
