Man arrested, accused of stabbing victim 13 times

SHERIDAN, Ind. (WISH) – The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department made an arrest in a stabbing case.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Shaun M. Tolan, 23, Noblesville, on Wednesday. Tolan is accused of stabbing a male victim 13 times in the neck and chest during a robbery.

Medics transported the victim to a local hospital where he was later released with non life-threatening injuries.

Officials believed that this was an isolated incident and might have been drug related.

Investigators obtained a warrant for Nolan and arrested him during a traffic stop on the north side of Indianapolis. He was arrested on preliminary charges of robbery, criminal confinement, battery with a deadly weapon and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.

Tolan was taken to the Hamilton County Jail. According to the arrest warrant, his bond had been set at $165,000.
