Mobile pet adoption tour stops in Indy

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The world’s largest national cooperative life-saving mobile pet adoption event stopped in Indianapolis on Sunday.

The North Shore Animal League America 2015 Tour for Life teamed up with Indianapolis Animal Care & Control for the event aimed at putting cats and dogs into good homes.

It took place at the American Legion Mall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Tour for Life travels throughout the United States in four “shelters on wheels” mobile adoption units helping pet shelter and rescue groups.

Sunday’s event not only gave the public the opportunity to adopt a pet, but organizers also provided information on behavioral education and special services available to dog and cat owners.
