Noblesville man arrested for aggravated battery in stabbing investigation

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — The Noblesville Police Department has arrested a man on aggravated battery charges after a man was found with stab wounds on Sunday morning.

NPD has arrested 21-year-old Dakota Covey in the case.

Officers responded to the 1700 block of Conner Street just before 11:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. Officers arrived to find a man with what appeared to be knife wounds to the arm, chest and abdomen.

He was transported to an Indianapolis hospital. His injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

Detectives said evidence led them to identify Covey as a suspect. He was then located and arrested.

He faces preliminary charges of aggravated battery, battery with a deadly weapon and criminal recklessness. All three charges are felonies.
