Relief from the rain in sight!

Significant rain accumulation from the past 48 hours resulting in flooding from area rivers and roads. A hefty 3-5″ fell with left overs of Gordon. Light sprinkles to start off the morning with showers beginning to fizzle out during the afternoon. Brickyard 400 looks to start soggy but should see drier conditions closer to mid afternoon. It’ll be a touch chilly down at the track with temperatures in the mid 60s. Tonight every one should dry out with lots of cloud cover left over. Expect to see lows fall to the upper 50s with a breezy NE wind upwards of 15 mph.

Improvements are set to settle in Monday with warmer temperature settling in with heavy rain well to our east. An isolated shower not out of the question Monday but coverage will be less widespread than this past weekend. Highs will warm to the lower 70s throughout the afternoon. Clouds will thin out late Monday through early Tuesday. Sunshine will finally return warming up to the upper 70s by mid week.

There could be an isolated shower or storm by late week as temperatures rise to near or slightly above seasonal, topping out in the mid 80s. Great weather will extend into next weekend with highs slightly above normal in the mid 890 with lots of sunshine!
