Senator’s cell phone rings to ‘Let It Go’

WASHINGTON – Kansas Sen. Pat Roberts was a little embarrassed Thursday during the Senate finance hearing on Capitol Hill.

While US Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack was speaking on Tariff Policy, “Let It Go” from the Disney hit movie “Frozen” rang out from Kansas Senator Pat Roberts’ cell phone.

Roberts quickly silenced his phone and told his colleagues to “Let It Go.”

He apologized to the chuckling room for the interruption before going on.

No one from Senator Roberts’ office was available for comment afterward.

The senator did send a joking tweet reading “somebody had to tell the Obama Administration to ‘Let it go.’”
