Spooky fog blankets central Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Heavy fog blanketed central Indiana roadways early Friday morning, creating dangerous driving conditions for morning commuters.

The dense fog advisory issued for most of central Indiana expired at 9 a.m. Visibility on main thoroughfares and side roads was extremely poor throughout the morning.

Dozens of schools decided to run on a delay because of poor conditions from the fog. Indiana State Police in Lafayette said they responded to a crash in a construction zone along Interstate 65 Friday morning. They said fog was to blame for that crash. No one was hurt.

The fog dissipated by mid-morning. Lots of sunshine was expected by Friday afternoon, with highs in the mid 70s.
