Teacher arrested for child solicitation
ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) — A teacher at an Anderson Christian school has turned himself in for child solicitation.
60-year-old Patrick Porter faces preliminary charges of child solicitation after allegedly having inappropriate electronic communication with a teenage girl.
Liberty Christian School said Porter will be terminated immediately as a result.
On May 22, Liberty Christian said information was received that supported allegations against Porter.
The Anderson Police Department said it was made aware of the incident on May 27.
A warrant was issued for the arrest of Porter on June 8. He turned himself in the next day.
If the Madison County Prosecutor’s Office files formal charges, Porter faces a level five felony charge.
