Victim identified after fatal crash near 51st Street and Keystone Avenue
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Three people were originally injured, two seriously in a crash on the city’s north side Thursday morning.
However, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department later confirmed that the accident is now fatal. The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Jahaunnah Washington of California. She was the front passenger in the vehicle.
The incident happened just before 7 a.m. in the 5100 block of North Keystone Avenue.
According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, a vehicle struck a telephone pole. The top of the vehicle was cut off in order to get two of the occupants out.
All three people were taken to the hospital.
