INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indiana Humanities and Indianapolis Motor Speedway have launched a contest looking for the ‘Official Poet’ of the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500.

The poet winning first place gets two tickets to the race, a $1,000, a chance to read the poem at the track in May and to have the piece featured in the official 2016 program.

Second place walks away with $500.

Submissions are being accepted until March 21 and a winner will be notified by April 1.
