Dove House to host Celebration Luncheon & Dessert Auction
Today we got a sweet preview of the auction items you can find at their upcoming Celebration Luncheon & Dessert Auction. Wendy Noe of Dove Recovery House joined us with a look at some of the desserts from The Bountiful Board. Here’s more from them:
Dove Recovery House is Marion County’s largest women’s recovery residence. The program is completely free and includes services such as housing, food, case management, trauma therapy, group and individual therapy, life skills coaching, employment and work development support, financial management and budgeting.
The need: Dove House provides treatment and recovery services to 40 women each night, and more than 80 women each year. Currently, there is a high demand for substance use disorder treatment and recovery services and there are more than 85 women on the waitlist.
How Dove House is addressing the need: Dove House recently expanded with an Outreach Center to help provide daytime services to women who are waiting for a bed at Dove House. To continue to help the rising number of women who need help, Dove House raises funds throughout the year and at its annual Celebration Luncheon & Dessert Auction.
