Mix it up for your July 4th with these cocktails from Cardinal Spirits
Mix a cocktail or two this holiday weekend with help from Cardinal Spirits. Owner Adam Quirk has a few recipes for us that are sure to please a crowd!ABOUT CARDINAL SPIRITS:

– Flora, which is used to make Summer of Love Punch (recipe below), is a lovely botanical liqueur made with elderflower, raspberries, hibiscus and jasmine. It is infused with whole fruits and flowers (never any flavoring or coloring extracts).
– Bramble, which is used to make Bramble Rocket Punch (recipe below), is a vodka infused with whole black raspberries and hibiscus (never any flavoring or coloring extracts).

Recipe by Cardinal Spirits
Makes 16+ servings
1 bottle Cardinal Spirits Tiki Rum
17 ounces pineapple juice
8.5 ounces ginger syrup*
8.5 ounces fresh lemon juice
20 dashes bitters
Ginger beer, to taste
Combine all ingredients, except for ginger beer, in a punch bowl.
To serve, ladle punch into cups with ice and top with ginger beer.
* To make ginger syrup: Peel several chunks of ginger, slice into thin rounds. Combine 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat, and stir to dissolve sugar. Add sliced ginger to the saucepan, and bring to a simmer. Remove from heat and let cool. Strain ginger slices from syrup before using.SUMMER OF LOVE PUNCH
Recipe by Cardinal Spirits
Serves 4
9 ounces Cardinal Spirits Flora liqueur
6 ounces fresh orange juice (about 2.5 oranges)
3 ounces fresh grapefruit juice (about 1/2 of a grapefruit)
6 dashes Angostura bitters
4 ounces club soda
Leftover citrus, for garnish
Edible flowers like nasturtium or orchids, for garnish
Combine Flora, orange juice, grapefruit juice and bitters in a pitcher with ice. Stir for 15 seconds. Strain off ice, then top with 4 ounces club soda. Garnish with citrus and edible flowers.
BRAMBLE ROCKET PUNCH
Recipe by Alyvia Cain of Cardinal Spirits
Serves 6
9 ounces Cardinal Spirits Bramble
3 ounces simple syrup
3 ounces fresh grapefruit juice
4.5 ounces fresh lemon juice
3 ounces dry vermouth
Mint, for garnish
Combine all ingredients except for mint in a pitcher with ice. Stir several times to combine. Strain off ice, then pour punch into rocks glasses with ice. Garnish each glass with a mint sprig.
