Project Lifesaver holds Fundraiser to help have lives

Project Lifesaver helps provide rapid response to save lives and reduce potential for serious injury for adults and children who wander due to Alzheimer’s, Autism, Down syndrome, dementia and other related cognitive conditions. Project Lifesaver provides equipment, training, certification and support to law enforcement, public safety organizations and community groups throughout the country and nation. Project Lifesaver has over 1,200 participating agencies across the U.S., Canada, and Australia, and has performed 2,522 searches in the last 13 years with no serious injuries or fatalities ever reported.

If someone on the program gets lost, the family calls 911 and Project Lifesaver comes out with the receiver and tracks the transmitter that the clients have on them all the time. Project Lifesaver Indy has about 75 people on the program but there are a lot of people still on the list.  With this fund raiser, they hope to be able to get more people on the list.

We have a 100% success rate at finding everybody in less than 28 minutes.” John Flutz, Project Lifesaver
