Apple will pay more for your old iPhone

(NEWS10) — If a newer model iPhone is on your holiday wishlist you may want to turn in your old iPhone to Apple.  The company is now giving their customers more money to trade in outdated iPhones.

Apple is hoping more people will buy Apple’s newer models released within the last year.  The company has raised the trade-in value of older model phones through it Giveback Program.

iPhone 6 owners can now receive $150 and 6 plus owners can get $200 for their old phone, that’s double the old trade-in values.  There is a major catch though, the trade-in values are only worth that much when consumers are trading in their old phones for the pricey iPhone XS ($1000) or iPhone XR ($750).

Recently, shares of Apple have taken a hit because of concerns about slowing iPhone demand.
