After a brief cold blast, expect a quick weekend warm up
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — It’s one of the coldest mornings we’ve seen since March 4, 2019 and the coldest we’ve seen this winter season. Feel like temperatures are 5°-15° below zero! Silver lining on the forecast will be the sunshine today. Highs will struggle through the afternoon even with the sunshine with most spots in the mid teens with a few locations close to 20°. Tonight will be a cold night for Valentines day dinner so layer up! Lows will fall to the teens with feel like temperatures in the single digits.
Quiet and dry start to the weekend and much warmer! Highs will rebound to the upper-30s with a few clouds. A system will pass just north of central Indiana bringing an isolated flurry possible to our northern communities. There could also be an isolated mix late Saturday but most of the day and evening will be dry. Sunday will be even warmer with highs in the lower-40s.
Next system will arrive early next week with temperatures soaring to the lower-50s with scattered showers. Those will continue Tuesday with highs cooling. Mid-week highs return to the mid-30s with a partly cloudy sky.
