UPDATE: The Marion County Coroner’s Office has identified the male victim of the shooting in the 2600 block of Kay Ellen Drive as 27-year-old Gary Bryant.

The coroner says Bryant died from gunshot wounds.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man was fatally shot Monday morning in what police said is believed to be the result of a domestic disturbance.

Police and medical personnel were called shortly before 7 a.m. to a report of a person shot in the 2600 block of Kay Ellen Drive. That’s in a residential area northeast of the I-70 interchange at North Post Road on the east side.

The man died inside a home on the street.

The name of the man was not immediately available.

No arrest was announced. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers talked to potential witnesses but released no additional information.
