Final Four fever means shirt sales skyrocket

LUBBOCK, Tex. (KLBK) — Final Four gear continues to be a hot seller and the t-shirts are flying off the shelves in West Texas.

Folks with The Matador and Red Raider Outfitter said their sales have been through the roof. They’ve been selling all kinds of gear and fans want anything and everything to remember that Final Four experience. 

“I think they have a whole lot of confidence in the guys,” said Steve Massengale, owner of The Matador, “Whether they’re in Minneapolis or they’re in Lubbock, Texas they’re going to be rooting for them Saturday night.”

“Being able to get this type of recognition and them being able to wear that logo wherever they go, ” said Katie Hartmant with Red Raider Outfitter, “It’s something that’s so special and so important.”

As the basketball team climbs their way up the bracket, both stores will keep coming up with merchandise.

“Anything that we can do to get the word of Texas Tech out. Whether it’s statewide, nationwide, world wide,” said Hartman.

“They have a whole lot of confidence in the guys. Whether they’re in Minneapolis or they’re in Lubbock, Texas they’re going to be rooting for them Saturday night,” said Massengale.
