Coroner IDs victim in south side homicide

UPDATE: The Marion County Coroner’s Office has ID‘d the man who died at a hospital Tuesday morning after police officers say he suffered an apparent gunshot wound.

The coroner identified Brandon Rednour, 31, as the victim. A cause and manner of death has not yet been released.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a homicide on the city’s south side.

According to IMPD, just before 3 a.m. on March 24, officers responded to a residence in the 800 block of Lawrence Avenue for a person shot.

After arriving on the scene, officers located an adult male who had been shot.

This person was transported to the hospital in critical condition but later passed away.

This fatal incident remains under investgation.
