Rochester man dies in crash on US 31

PLYMOUTH, Ind. (WISH) — A 35-year-old Rochester man died in a single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon on U.S. 31 north of Plymouth in Marshall County, Indiana State Police say.

Caleb Ingram was driving north on U.S. 31 near 4A Road, about 2 miles north of Plymouth, when the white 2013 Dodge he was driving his a concrete bridge abutment for an unknown reason. State police did not say in a news release say whether the Dodge was a car or another type of vehicle.

The crash happened about 4:30 p.m. Monday in a rural area that’s about a 25-minute drive south of downtown South Bend.

Alcohol nor drugs were suspected to be factors in the crash, investigators say.

An autopsy was scheduled for an undisclosed time this week at the Marshall County Forensic Center, state police say.
