Mild temperatures and wind Sunday; Snow returns Monday
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Unseasonably mild temperatures continue for one more day across central Indiana before winter returns in a big way.
Clouds, winds and temperatures will all increase as we head into Sunday afternoon. Highs should top out in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Winds could gust between 20-30 mph through the day.
A front will move into central Indiana late Sunday tonight, first sparking isolated light rain showers, eventually changing over to flurries overnight as temperatures dip to near 30 degrees.
Scattered snow showers will move in just in time for the Monday morning commute, with some heavier snow squalls at times, lowering visibility across portions of central Indiana.
On and off snow will continue through much of the day on Monday, eventually tapering off to light snow showers and flurries overnight Monday into Tuesday.
Total snow accumulation will range between 1-2 inches, with some locally higher amounts possible.
