‘College Bound Strategies’ author chats with Daybreak team

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — For many families, the start of school this year marks the start of a senior year that points toward college, if the grades and the dollars are there.

Author Justin Duncombe was on Daybreak Monday to discuss his book, “College Bound Strategies,” about the process of the college search and avoiding the pitfalls that can cost you thousands.

In his book, Duncombe lists five mistakes parents and students make when it comes to college, including incorrectly filling out applications and not filling out financial aid applications.

“When you’re filling out these forms that only ask about specific things — income assets, things of that nature — a lot of people mistake what those things actually are on the application,” he said.
