Police arrest man in his father’s shooting death

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Police have arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with one of three fatal shootings on Saturday in Indianapolis. 

Darrail Mix turned himself in at the IMPD Homicide Office on Sunday in connection to the fatal shooting of his father, LaDarrell Mix. He faces a preliminary charge of murder. 

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to the 10200 block of Penrith Drive at the Huntington Heights condominiums around 1 p.m. Saturday on a report of two men arguing. 

They arrived to find a man later identified as LaDarrell Mix who appeared to have been shot. 

He was taken to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital, where he died of his injuries. 

Neighbors told News 8 the incident might have stemmed from a domestic dispute.
