Possible strong thunderstorms Sunday

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We had a beautiful day around central Indiana on Saturday with highs close to 70. Temperatures stay mild Saturday evening with partly cloudy skies.

Lows will stay in the low to middle 50s overnight with clouds slowly increasing by daybreak.

We’ll see a few showers possible early in the morning with temperatures in the middle 50s. Highs climb into the upper 60s close to 70 for the afternoon.

After morning showers we’ll see a brief break before more showers and thunderstorms develop in the afternoon and evening.

Some of the thunderstorms may be on the stronger side. Much of central Indiana is under a marginal risk of strong thunderstorms while the southern part of the state is under a slight risk. This means conditions are favorable for thunderstorms to produce damaging winds, hail and an isolated tornado.

Clouds stick around for Monday. There’s a slight chance we may see a few showers, but the best rain chance will be in the southern part of the state.

Look for sunshine on Tuesday with highs in the middle 60s. Temperatures stay in the 60s for Wednesday and Thursday. Rain chances increase for the end of the week and weekend.
