Rain returns Friday night

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Much of your shopping day should be dry, before steady rain enters the state as we head into the weekend.

Tonight:

No major issues going into the evening and overnight.  Relatively clear conditions with colder temps.  Lows dip to the upper 20s and lower 30s.

Friday:

Day time hours should be dry.  Sunshine to start, with increasing clouds to finish off the afternoon.  Highs top out in the lower to middle 50s.

Rain returns:

Showers will start to work into the area during the evening hours.  Should stay dry through dinner time, but look for isolated to scattered showers to start rolling in for mid to late evening.

Steady rain should hold off until after Midnight.  Rain will continue into Saturday morning, before breaking to the east heading into Saturday afternoon.

Weekend forecast:

Temperatures should be pretty mild for this time of year, topping out in the middle 50s both days.  Saturday afternoon looks dry, as does Sunday morning. We’ll see a return of rain Sunday evening.

8 day forecast:

Previously mentioned Sunday system will come with gusty winds for the second half of Sunday.  Rain will roll on Sunday night into Monday morning, possibly changing over to light snow heading into the start of the work and school week.  A huge drop in temps next week, with highs in the 20s and 30s all week.
