Sunday set to be warm, windy

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Mild temperatures returned to central Indiana Saturday and will warm up even more Sunday.

The high temperature in Indianapolis was 55 Saturday, which is 10 degrees above average for the end of February.

Winds coming in from the southwest should keep temperatures milder overnight, with lows only dipping into the upper 30s and lower 40s.

Sunday will begin with sunshine, and a gradual increase of cloud cover will move in during the afternoon.

Highs will likely be five to 10 degrees warmer than Saturday, topping out in the low to mid 60s.

Winds will be strong throughout the day, gusting between 35 and 45 miles per hour.

Temperatures will remain above average through Tuesday.
