SWAT called to west side home

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Members of the SWAT team were called to a home on the west side of Indianapolis Monday evening.

Officers were called to the corner of the 2500 block of South McClure Street. This is near the Sam Jones Expressway and South Holt Road.

Officials say the incident began as a fight between a man and a woman. Police say neighbors saw the fight and got involved.

According to officers at the scene, after 911 was called the man involved in the fight and his friend ran inside a home. Police and members of the SWAT team arrived shortly afterward.

After some time, SWAT entered the home but found no one inside. Police are now looking for the man involved in the fight, who they say is a violent offender.
