FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The FBI has arrested a man with connections to ISIS who also spent time in Fort Wayne.

According to 24-Hour News 8 sister station, WANE, Ali Saleh, 22, is originally from Queens, New York, but told authorities he spent about seven months living in Fort Wayne with two co-workers.

According to an affidavit filed in September 2015, the FBI claimed the 22-year-old Saleh “did knowingly and willfully attempt to provide material support and resources, including himself, to a foreign terrorist organization.”

The document goes on to define that organization as “Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.”

The affidavit claimed Saleh used several of his Twitter accounts to “indicate his support of ISIL and express his intent to join ISIL” between mid-2013 to now. It also said Saleh tried to travel to the Middle East multiple times to join ISIL.

His Twitter account is currently suspended.

According to the affidavit, law enforcement agents interviewed Saleh at a Fort Wayne hotel on July 29, 2015. The address isn’t provided in the documents.

During the interview, Saleh told agents he had lived in Fort Wayne since December 2014 with two co-workers.
