INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Summer heat returns over the next several days, with temperatures pushing close to 90 degrees to wrap up the weekend.
There will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy conditions through the day. Some wildfire smoke several thousand feet above the surface will likely prevent complete sunshine, but there will certainly be enough to push temperatures close to 90 this afternoon.
Expect mainly clear and muggy conditions overnight. Lows fall to the upper 60s and lower 70s.
It will be another hot day with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s.
8 day forecast:
Tuesday will be another day of near 90-degree heat before a cold front arrives by midweek. Expect showers and storms to arrive early Wednesday morning. The Storm Prediction Center has placed northern Indiana in the marginal risk for severe storms for Wednesday.
Scattered rain chances continue Thursday and Friday, with temperatures returning to the mid 80s as we approach the weekend.
