Saturday Night Forecast

Not continuous rain, be there will be showers off and the rest of this weekend into Monday. And a big change in temperature as a cold front brings buch cooler weather through Tuesday.

Tonight – Showers and some storms moving through. Lightning, gusty winds and brief heavy rain will accompany the strongest storms. No sever weather is expected.. Low tonight 44.

Sunday – Breezy and much cooler. High 55. And there will be scattered showers popping up from time to time, Also some dry time.

Monday – Chilly weather to start the month of May. Average high temperature to start May is the upper 60s. Our high Monday 53.

A gradual warming trend to near norma but not until the end of the work week, Continued shance of showers Tuesday and Thursday.

We enjoyed a pleasant and dry morning before showers and thunderstorms developed this afternoon. Here is a StormTracker snapshot of the line of showers as they move through Indianapolis and Central Indiana.
The line of showers were triggered by the cold front sweeping through the Midwest. Much cooler air will arrive on west and northwest winds behind the front.
FutureCast shows Central Indiana enjoying some dry weather Sunday morning. By Sunday morning the cold front is long gone but a trough (brown line) will help to trigger some scattered showers Sunday afternoon into Monday.
If you head outside early Sunday, you will experience some dry, but chilly weather. Showers are possible in the afternoon.
Although the month of May starts Monday, it will not be until the end of the week that we experience anything close to average May temperatures. 6 – 10 degrees below average next week.
