22-year-old man ID’d as victim in Friday double shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Marion County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified a man killed in a Friday afternoon shooting on the city’s west side. 

Davon Davis, 22, was found at a residence in the 700 block of South Whitcomb Avenue, where another man had also been shot. Davis was pronounced dead at the scene; the other man suffered serious injuries, according to IMPD. 

The other man was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for his injuries. 

Additional details on the circumstances that led up to the shooting had not been released on Monday.

Police on Monday had not said whether a suspect was in custody.
