Is This Anything?: Return of the … bump; Aerosmith brings farewell tour to Indianapolis
Is this anything? Hammer and Nigel, the opinionated radio hosts of WIBC, surely think so! It’s the return of an Indianapolis 500 tradition as old as time and an electrifying fan favorite: bumping. On Saturday, May 20th and Sunday, May 21st, 34 cars are expected to race for their chance to secure one of 33 starting spots during qualifying at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing”.
Lovingly known as “Bump Day”, Hammer and Nigel says, “For fans like us, we LOVE it! You never know how things will play out!” further emphasizing how the suspense of the event to the overall drama of the race. “It all boils down to those final minutes.” Hammer and Nigel continued. Will Power is an example of one of many big names who competed in Bump Day in previous years.
Further into the segment, Hammer and Nigel fills us on Aerosmith’s farewell tour coming to Indianapolis. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame classic rock band will be jam out for the last time to celebrate their 50-plus years together. The group announced Monday the dates for their tour entitled “Peace Out” starting September 2nd in Philadelphia. The “Peace Out” tour will stop at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Sunday, Oct. 29.
