Anderson man arrested in shooting death of girlfriend
ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) – An Anderson man is behind bars in connection to the shooting death of his girlfriend on Sunday.
According to Anderson Police Department, 52-year-old David Anthony Willis is accused of shooting 27-year-old Gina Tan to death around 6 p.m..
Police say Tan was found shot inside a home in the 3500 block of Brown Street that she shared with Willis. Tan was transported to St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital, but she later died from her injuries.
Willis told police that he shot Tan. He was taken into custody and preliminarily charged with murder and criminal confinement.
He is scheduled to appear in court at 1 p.m. on Monday.
