Arrest made in Thanksgiving shooting that left 3 dead

Fort Wayne, Ind. (WANE) — Police have made an arrest in connection to a home invasion that left three people dead and two hurt on Thanksgiving in Fort Wayne.

Members of the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to 6100 block of Downingtown Drive around 10:25 p.m. Thursday on a report of a shooting.

Officers arrived on scene to find five people had been shot. Four people were located inside the home and one person was found outside. 

Two male victims and a female victim were pronounced dead when medics arrived. Two male victims were taken to a hospital in critical condition. 

Police arrested one suspect, Kameron Joyner, 22, after a traffic stop near the intersection of Rudisill Boulevard and Clinton Streets Friday morning. He is being charged with five preliminary counts aggravated battery.

Detectives have also determined a second man, 22 year-old Gerald Pinkston, was involved in the shooting. Anyone with information on Pinkston’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 to report your information. Pinkston should be considered armed and dangerous.

The victim’s identities will be released pending an autopsy.
