INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Here’s a look at Monday’s business headlines.

Affordable town

Dunlap in Elkhart County was named the most affordable small town in Indiana.

That’s according to Business Insider, which is crunched census data.

Elkhart County, where Dunlap is located, is home to more than 650 lakes, according to the county’s website, Dunlap is a grate place for people who like the outdoors and water activities.

Homeownership

Homeownership has slipped into unaffordable territory across most of the U.S.

Attom Data Solutions says that median home prices of single-family homes and condos in the final months of 2020 were less affordable than historical averages in 55% of counties.

Bitcoin

Social media interest in bitcoin has hit an all-time high.

The Tie, a cryptocurrency data firm, showed that the number of unique Twitter handles tweeting about bitcoin, eclipsed the 64,000 mark last seen during the peak of the 2017 bull run.

Bitcoin prices also hit a new high, above $34,000 over the weekend.

Chrysler/Peuogot

Fiat Chrysler and the parent company of Peuogot will vote on a merger Monday.

If approved it would create the four largest automaker in the world but will also likely end in job cuts, although analysts believe Europe will see cuts before the U.S.

FanDuel

FanDuel, the fantasy sports and online betting company, experienced outages on Sunday – the last day of the regular season NFL games.

This prevented many of its customers from accessing its Sportsbook platform.

Users reported issues with logging in and accessing FanDuel’s app and website.

FanDuel tweeted that the issue had been resolved by 2:40 p.m. It wasn’t clear what caused the outage.
