1 dead, 2 juveniles injured in shooting

LATEST: The Marion County Coroner’s Office on Thursday identified the person who died as a 20-year-old man, Ian Kenneth Le Quinn Neberz.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says one person is dead and two juveniles are injured after a shooting on Wednesday night.

Officers say they were called to the Mariwood Mobile Home Community on Mariway Road on reports of a possible person shot in the area at around 11:20 p.m. The scene is off N. Raceway Road near U.S. 36 on the west side.

Police say they saw a vehicle, that had crashed into a trailer, and a juvenile male suffering from injuries consisting of gunshot wounds outside a residence.

A man was found dead inside the vehicle.

Officers say they found a 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy with gunshot wounds in a mobile home nearby. Both juveniles were taken to Riley Hospital for Children with non-life-threatening injuries and were stable at last check.

It’s not clear what led up to the shooting and no arrests have been made. The Marion County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased once his relatives have been notified.
