INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One person is in the hospital after being shot near the downtown canal early Tuesday morning, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Officers with IMPD were called to the 300 block of West Walnut Street just after 12:30 a.m. for a report of a person shot.
Police said an adult male was shot in the leg.
Two groups of people were seen walking in the area as the shooting stemmed from an argument, police said.
The victim is in stable condition.
No suspects are in custody and possible suspect information has not been released.
