Driver facing charges after deadly Wells Co. crash
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A man suspected of driving drunk and crashing head-on into a vehicle in Wells County is facing multiple felony charges, according to court records.
According to 24-Hour News 8 partner station, WANE, Anthony Dager, 26, New Haven, faces three counts of causing death while operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and three counts of causing death while operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level of .15 percent or more.
Dager is being held in the Allen County Jail on $100,000 bond. Charges, however, were filed in Wells County.
Police said the early morning crash happened on State Road 1 near Ossian on Apr. 4. Investigators said Dager went across the center line and struck another vehicle, killing three people.
Dager was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
