INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Here’s a look at Friday’s business headlines.

Kroger Hero Pay

Groger Kroger announced that it would be giving its employees a “hero bonus” for hours worked between Sunday and April 18.

The bonus is an added $2 per hour on top of the employees’ based rate of pay.


Target on Sunday will start limiting the number of shoppers it allows in its stores to enhance social distancing. It’ll also issue masks and gloves to its store and distribution center workers.

Once the chain starts monitoring and potentially limiting store traffic, the number of shoppers allowed into stores will depend on the store’s size.


President Trump says he is pushing to make restaurant business meals and entertainment fully deductible to help boost businesses once they reopen.

Currently, businesses can only write off 50% of costs.


It is a Jobs report day but it won’t fully reflect job losses because the survey was taken in the second week of March.

Economists expect a decline of 100,000 nonfarm payrolls.

The unemployment rate is expected to rise to 3.8%.
