Goldfish crackers recalled due to possible salmonella contamination

(WCMH) — Pepperidge Farm announced Monday a recall of several varieties of Goldfish crackers due to the potential presence of salmonella.

Whey powder used in the seasoning of four varieties of Goldfish is the subject of an earlier recall due to potential salmonella contamination.

The products were distributed throughout the United States. No illnesses have been reported. No other Pepperidge Farm products in the U.S. are subject to this recall.

The following four varieties are subject to this recall:

  • Flavor Blasted® Xtra Cheddar
  • Flavor Blasted® Sour Cream & Onion
  • Goldfish® Baked with Whole Grain Xtra Cheddar
  • Goldfish® Mix Xtra Cheddar + Pretzel
