IMPD investigating person shot on city’s northeast side
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police were investigating after a person was found shot on the city’s northeast side on Tuesday.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a call for a person shot around 8 a.m. in the 3600 block of Bancroft Street.
Officials with IMPD say the victim showed up on Bancroft Street saying he had been shot by an unknown suspect. The victim was transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition.
Police believe the victim was shot near 34th Street and Sherman at a gas station, but they were waiting to get more information from the victim once they are out of surgery.
IMPD didn’t have any details on a suspect as of Tuesday morning.
