Intoxicated driver hurt in one vehicle accident in Putnam County

PUTNAM COUNTY,Ind. (WISH) – A driver in Putnam County, who tested more than three times the legal for alcohol, was injured in a one vehicle accident.

According to State Police, the 2004 Chevy Cavalier driven by Patricia Moberley was traveling erratically and at an excessive speed west on I-70.

Moberley soon thereafter lost control of her vehicle near the westbound exit ramp and the vehicle then proceeded rolled over leaving the driver was trapped inside.

After the driver was freed from the vehicle by members of the Cloverdale Fire/Rescue Department, she was transported to the Putnam County Hospital for severe hand and wrist injuries sustained during the accident. She was later taken to St. Vincent Hosptial in Indianapolis even further treatment of her injuries.

During the examination of the crash site, police discovered several alcohol containers.

Moberely failed a chemical test for intoxication with a blood alcohol content of .25%.
