38-year-old man dies in Fountain Square homicide

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A 38-year-old man died in a homicide Monday morning in the Fountain Square area southeast of downtown.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was called just after 9:30 a.m. to the 1300 block of Olive Street for a report of a person down.

After police arrived on the scene, Robert Buskirk was found on the ground. Medics were called, but Buskirk died at the scene.

The Marion County Coroner’s Office said Buskirk died of gunshot wounds.

No information on a possible suspect has been released.

Citizens have chance to weigh in on IndyGo changes

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – IndyGo is set to make some big changes this summer in regards to its route system.

And Tuesday is your last chance to weigh in on the proposal.

Lesley Gordon from IndyGo stopped by Daybreak Monday.

She discussed some of those proposed changes, including turning the “hub and spoke” system into a grid.

The final public hearing is Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 5:30 p.m. at IndyGo headquarters.
