INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Hoosiers can celebrate Indianapolis by completing a bucket list of things to see and do. Visit Indy has released a guide containing 200 different experiences that can only happen in Indianapolis. It’s called the “#LoveIndy Bucket List.”
The campaign was created to help honor and celebrate the city’s bicentennial. A couple of things to do on the list include scouting for the city’s historic murals, like the ones on Massachusetts Avenue.
“A lot of people really haven’t experienced all of the murals,” Visit Indy’s Nate Swick said. “Down by the canal, over in CityWay (apartments) there’s some incredible ones, but probably the three most iconic ones in the city are Mari Evans, our guy Kurt Vonnegut, and then Reggie Miller which is the newest of the murals here in the Circle City.”
In honor of race week, Nate was challenged to a race at Speedway Indoor Karting. Director of engagement, Marissa O’Gara, believes Hoosiers missing out on the full Indy 500 experience this Sunday should pay a visit to the indoor track.
Indianapolis will continue celebrating its bicentennial through May of 2021, so there is plenty of time to complete the list. Find the full list here.
