Man arrested in connection to 2015 murder

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One man has been arrested in connection to a 2015 murder.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, an arrest warrant was issued for 21-year-old Kaijuan Julius on July 7.

Julius was taken into custody by police Saturday for the September 2015 murder of 36-year-old Dennis Vaughn.

In September of last year, Vaughn was discovered by officers inside a house in the 1900 block of Centennial Street suffering from a gunshot wound.  Vaughn was pronounced dead on scene by emergency crews.

In addition to facing a preliminary charge of murder in the death of Vaughn, Julius has also faces a preliminary charge of possession of a handgun without a license.
