Man in serious condition after early-morning shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – An early-morning shooting in the 7500 block of North Shadeland Avenue ended with at least two people sent to the hospital.

The shooting occurred just before 2:30 a.m. after a dispute between a female customer and a staff member in the parking lot of R & R Bar and Grill.

The woman then went outside, got a gun and shot the bouncer at least four times.

Investigators are still looking for that woman.

The bouncer, identified as Aaron Gardenhire, was discovered suffering from several gunshot wounds to his chest. He is in serious but stable condition, as of Saturday evening.

In addition to being shot in the chest, Gardenhire was also shot once in the leg.

He was taken to taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital.

Police say a female victim later showed up at the hospital with a graze wound. She’s in good condition.

The incident remains under investigation.
