Man seriously injured in northeast side crash

LAWRENCE, Ind (WISH) – One man was transported to the hospital in serious condition following a crash on the northeast side, according to the Lawrence Police Department.

Officers were called to the area of North Mitthoefer Road and Pendelton Pike Thursday morning.

Police said a westbound truck carrying building supplies hit an eastbound vehicle head-on just before 8 a.m.

The male driver in the passenger vehicle was on the only injury and the only occupant in the car. Unknown what hospital he was taken to.

The driver of the truck was not hurt.

Mitthoeffer to 56th Street between Pendleton Pike is currently closed in both directions and will be for another hour or so.
