Muncie police: 17-year-old fatally shoots boyfriend

MUNCIE, Ind. (WISH) — Police say a 17-year-old girl fatally shot her boyfriend Saturday afternoon in Muncie.

Muncie Police Department Deputy Chief Mark Vollmar told 24-Hour News 8 it happened just before 2 p.m. in the 1300 block of East Hines Street.

Investigators are trying to determine if the teen intentionally shot her 24-year-old boyfriend, or if the gun was fired accidentally, Vollmar said.

The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later died of his injuries.

Neither the man nor the teen have been identified, and no arrest has been made.Stay with WISHTV.com for updates.
