Neighbor spots fire, alerts homeowners in Cicero

CICERO, Ind. (WISH) — The Cicero Fire Department responded to a residence fire on Thursday morning where fire engulfed nearly two thirds of the home.

The department arrived to the 200 block of Bay Shore Drive around 3:20 a.m. after a neighbor saw the fire. The neighbor woke the residents and called 911.

Three people were inside the home at the time of the fire. Officials say they all made it out safely.

Crews were still working hot spots on the fire around 7 a.m.

Officials say the home is expected to be a total loss. The cause of the fire was under investigation Thursday morning.
